DOA

DOA is a band of popular and medieval Galician music that has been developing their own original musical forms since the late 70s, to the point of being considered today at the vanguard of folk music, in which ancestral elements, contemporary resources and electronic music are combined.

The members of the musical group are three excellent musicians: the acoustic and electric guitarist Xoán Piñón, founder of the group who was part of different bands of experimental music, rock and folk and who is one of the pioneers of contemporary Galician music; the hurdy gurdy player Óscar Fernández, one of the most important figures of the new folk, founder of Cempés and Bonovo; and the impressive voice of the renowned soprano Susana de Lorenzo, who possesses great technique, emotion and nuances, as well as great versatility.

With their latest work, "A Fronda dos Cervos", an album dedicated to Portuguese-Galician medieval music, they obtained the following awards:
